Nicole R. Puterbaugh, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, BS
As a certified family nurse practitioner, Nicole is trained in diagnosing and treating conditions for patients of all ages. She earned her nursing and master’s degrees from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Nursing. She also holds a BS in biology and classical civilization from Denison University.
There is special pride in welcoming this 1998 Cum Laude graduate of Mariemont High School back to the community. Nicole is joining her father’s medical practice; Douglas Puterbaugh, M.D., has been an established physician in the Mariemont community for more than two decades.
Nicole has practiced at the Mt. Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, where she focused on cardiology. She is a recipient of a national award from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for excellence in cardiac care. Nicole has also served in the medical-surgical area at University Hospital in Cincinnati and as a preceptor for advance-practice nursing students at the University of Illinois.
In addition to clinical care, she will emphasize preventive care and patient education with her patients. She has special interest in women’s health issues and successful diabetes management. As a nurse practitioner, she has expertise with a full range of medical services, including diagnostic testing, prescribing medication and counseling patients.
Nicole has membership in the American College of Nurse Practitioners, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Ohio Nurses Association. She holds licenses in Ohio and Illinois as an RN, CNP and has prescriptive authority licensing.
